Mavin singer Tiwa Savage also indirectly confirmed her signing with Jay Z’s Roc Nation in style at the One Africa Music Fest throwing up her hands doing the Jay Z famous sign to end her stunning performance held at the Barclays Center in New York, United States of America.
The Mavin Records singer had weeks ago, been the subject of unconfirmed reports that a deal with the label was in the works.
The gifted vocalist and her label boss Don Jazzy met up with Jay-Z at the Roc Nation Headquarters in New York adding more substance to the news earlier announced by two respected Nigerian A&R execs Tola Odunsi and Bizzle Osikoya that Jay Z is considering signing an international management and distribution deal with Tiwa Savage having been impressed by Tiwa’s music catalogue and profile.
African Music is currently growing in the West, with many known voices identifying with the sounds originating from these shores. Tiwa Savage’s deal is a clear manifestation of this trend.
Mavin boss producer Don Jazzy has confirmed the signing of Tiwa Savage’s management deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation.
The hitmaker announced an invitation to the official signing party for the singer to celebrate the deal via his Instagram account, with a caption that read: “Ok show was a Success. Now we party. Meet us at the 40/40 club to celebrate Tiwa’s RocNation Management deal. Party has started already o. You re late already.”
