Abdulraufu Mustapha, Professor of African Politics at the Department of Government, University of Oxford in the United Kingdom has passed away, his family members have confirmed.
Mustapha the author of Turning Points in African Democracy; and Sects and Social Disorder, Muslim Identities and Conflict in Northern Nigeria succumbed to stomach cancer after battling the disease for months.
He died today around 3pm London time. He was 63. He is survived by his wife, Kate and three children.
