As the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari was winding up his state visit to Germany, chance had it that he was interviewed by Deutsche Welle (DW) ‘s reporter Phil Gayle.

During the rather snappy interview, President Buhari was asked few questions ranging from the recent release of the 21 Chibok who were kidnapped from their school by islamic militants, Boko Haram, his fight against corruption and the issue of sexism with reference to the president’s comment that his wife belongs to the kitchen, the living room and the other room.

The president made vaguely eloquent eloquent and clear responses to the questions with assurance that the remaining group of the Chibok girls still held by Boko Haram will be released following continuous negotiations with the Boko Haram group, though the president did not give distinct response on the details of the negotiations that led to the release of the 21 Chibok girls at hand so far.

President Buhari also reassured foreign investors that Nigeria is a safe haven for investment in oil and gas while responding to  the question on the progress of the anti graft war or rather, fight against corruption.

Phil Gayle alos made reference to the president’s comment that his wife belongs to his kitchen and his living room in a response to the wife, Aisha Buhari’s warning that she may not support the president come next 2019 Presidential election because of his choices for top jobs.
